Maria Safronova was born in 1979 in the city of Rzhev, Tver region. In 2003 she graduated from the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute, in 2011 - the Institute of Contemporary Art and the School of Contemporary Art «Free Workshops». She became the scholar of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 2003.
Included in the Top 100 recognized artists of Russia according to InArt.
The works of Maria Safronova are in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow, Russia), the Erarta Museum and Gallery of contemporary art (St. Petersburg, Russia), the Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center (St. Petersburg, Russia), The Museum of Chinese Women and Children (Beijing, China), as well as in a variety of private collections in Russia and abroad.
